Emergency Provisions Hierarchy...

Fairhope in the rain...

Must get to the yarn store...

Better to be safe than sorry! In the interest of public safety & time, since Ida snuck up on us while we weren't looking, I had to make major potentially life-saving decisions in the short hours before the storm...Home Depot for batteries, tarps & the like...OR the Yarn Cottage for lace yarn & baby yarn & spur-of-the-moment-impending-storm-inspired-project yarn??? Hmmmmm, O.K. I chose the Yarn Cottage in Fairhope. After all, if trees were uprooted it might have been days before I could drive the 4 or 5 miles to Fairhope & we had a holiday on Wednesday. And if the power went off, there'd be no TV, vacuuming, dish washing or clothes washing. Instead there'd be LONG, LONG hours needing to be filled. (Yay!)

So Ida quietly came & went with not so much as a hint of thunder or damage (thankfully) & I've seen more rain in an ordinary summer cloudburst. Good call choosing the latter!! I had a wonderful day yesterday, knitting & crocheting the day away. Oh & incidentally, Thank you Veteran's for your unselfish service to our country!!
