More family craftiness... this time it's for SALE!!

This is my Mom's LeClerc table loom. Nice, huh? I have no knowledge base about weaving so I can't say much about it except it LOOKS impressive, in a weaving sort of way. And she hasn't worked on it in quite some time so she doesn't remember all of the details. I told her that I would list it either in my Etsy store or on the Warped Weavers Marketplace on Ravelry. But I don't know where to begin. I keep wondering if I need this and ,I may rue the day that I made this decision, but I keep thinking that I don't. So for now I'll just share the photo while I look up information on this machine. Maybe one of you needs it.

  1. If the Rav folks haven't identified it yet, it looks like a four-harness Dorothy table loom. The really nice thing about the Dorothy is that it folds up and is reasonably portable, even with a project on it-- reasonably, that is, because it's still heavy. My sister has one that used to belong to our father, and she folds it up more for storage than taking places. :)

They're simple, but durable little looms; the one my sister has is over 35 years old now and still in great shape.

  2. Thanks so much for the info Mia! Yes it is a heavy little something but that contributes to the sturdiness of the machine I suppose, right?. This one is pretty old as well. Glad to know they are built to last.
