I've been BUSY!! Had a little 5 day vacation and didn't get half the things done that I wanted. My bead campaign was a huge success but I ended up not attending the OOMM parade on Monday night. I just couldn't, I was trying to edit something that was taking more time than I had originally thought. Will tell more about that when I can. All I can say right now is "10 pages not including photos".

From the Mardi Gras 'frying pan' I've jumped right into the Ravelympics 'fire'. I boldly signed up to finish a nearly finished throw, finish crocheting beads onto an entire spool of thread, (to be used as a carrying yarn some time in the future), and to design a project.

Now this latter project is for the designer biathlon & entails designing, working up a prototype & releasing the design on Ravelry by Olympics' end. I'm designing a Marmot toy. He is about 12 " tall & so far is working out well. Here's a sneak peek of Monsieur Marmot of the Yukon.
And yes, he DOES have a pink nose, which is all they had at Hobby Lobby. I might just leave it that way. But if I decide to change it my daughter has some black nail polish that would do the trick. Oh & I was going to use big blue safety eyes but forgot until I was completely finished with the body. Note to self: if you're going to use post & washer eyes for crying out loud place them BEFORE progressing to the body!!

I think Monsieur Marmot is going to have fun hanging around playing pool & having a few beers with Brunswick & Stewie. Should be a crazy trio.
